Customer Support Specialist (Enterprise IT)

Location: McLean, Virginia, USA; in-office.

Salary: $49,996.80–$290,004.00 per year.

What you will do

• Monitor system logs and applications, preferably using automation, and perform agreed-upon backups and data archiving.
• Harden Linux systems according to information security engineering principles and industry best practices.
• Maintain Windows and Linux servers, Oracle database servers, Apache servers, DNS servers, domain controllers, network storage devices, and HP servers.
• Apply server patches and operating system updates according to ISSM requirements; renew software licenses and obtain customer waivers as needed.
• Assist with hardware and software acquisition and implementation.
• Submit Discrepancy Reports and Requests for Change through customer channels and collaborate with the ISSM and customer security elements.

Requirements

• US citizenship and an active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• 10+ years of experience in configuration management.
• Experience with Linux servers, Windows servers, Oracle database servers, DNS servers, domain controllers, network storage devices, and HP servers.
• Experience designing, configuring, and installing information systems comprising routers, servers, switches, storage systems, and laptops.
• Experience designing and implementing Microsoft Windows-based domains.
• Experience deploying the complete DevOps lifecycle, including build pipelines, automated deployments, compliance scanning, and test-driven development.
• Experience deploying, provisioning, operating, and maintaining Linux environments running CentOS and Ubuntu.
• Experience with INFOSEC and Information Assurance policies such as ICD 503 to ensure system security and data integrity.
• Experience implementing, developing, and testing automation tools and IT infrastructure; managing virtualized infrastructure; and recommending improvements to reliability, availability, and maintainability.
