Junior Full Stack Developer (AI)

Location: Remote, McLean, VA, USA

Salary: $100,000–$110,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Angular, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Integrate frontend and backend systems and build responsive, user-friendly interfaces.
• Deploy, monitor, secure, and optimize applications on AWS using services including EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway, and CloudWatch.
• Analyze legacy and monolithic applications, identify modernization opportunities, and migrate or refactor them toward Spring Boot, Angular, and cloud-native AWS architectures.
• Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; tune API, database, and UI performance; and participate in code reviews and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, QA engineers, and developers while implementing authentication, authorization, data protection, and regulatory compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of professional experience in the IT industry.
• Core knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, Angular, AWS, and Aurora DB.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification.
• Must meet public trust requirements.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of AI-assisted development tools, including Claude models.
• AI certification or completed AI courses.
• Experience with JUnit, Mockito, Jasmine, Karma, or similar testing tools.
