What you will do

• Design and maintain reusable automation strategies and frameworks for smoke, regression, end-to-end, integration, and high-risk testing.
• Execute, monitor, maintain, and triage automated suites; investigate failures, isolate flaky tests, and log defects in Jira.
• Integrate automated tests into GitHub Enterprise and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines for builds, deployments, and releases.
• Develop coverage across UI, APIs, data layers, role-based permissions, performance, security, and Section 508 accessibility.
• Produce test evidence for Definition of Done, release readiness, and Authority to Operate packages; track coverage, pass rates, and defect trends.
• Automate data migration validation and verify deployment and rollback procedures before production promotion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional software quality assurance experience, including at least 3 years designing and maintaining automated test frameworks for web applications and APIs in Agile Scrum teams.
• Advanced knowledge of Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress; Postman or REST Assured; and at least one automation language such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD integration using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps, and Jira for defect and test evidence tracking.
• Must meet U.S. DOT contract requirements, including a favorable Public Trust background investigation and suitability determination.
• DOT Public Trust Clearance is required.

Nice to have

• ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level, Test Automation Engineer, or equivalent testing certification.
• Federal contracting experience, especially civilian agency IT modernization or Software Factory programs; prior DOT experience is a plus.
• Experience with ClicTest, low-code or codeless automation, Agile/Scrum, behavior-driven development, Cucumber, or SpecFlow.
• Experience with JMeter or k6 for performance and load testing, axe or ANDI for accessibility testing, or DHS Trusted Tester certification.
• Experience testing Salesforce, Microsoft Power Platform, ServiceNow, Dynamics 365, or Appian.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
