Senior Software Testing Analyst (AI)

Location: Hybrid role requiring 2 days per week and 8 days per month at the Westbrook, Maine, United States office.

Base salary: $130,000–$140,000 annually, based on experience.

What you will do

• Develop and execute formal manual and automated test plans, procedures, scenarios, test cases, and scripts for software applications.
• Use AI-assisted tools, generative AI, coding assistants, and agents for requirements analysis, risk identification, test coverage assessment, test design, script development, test data generation, and test maintenance; validate all AI output for accuracy and relevance.
• Perform smoke, application, functional, API, regression, and exploratory testing, with a bias toward automation.
• Build, maintain, and optimize automated test suites integrated into CI/CD pipelines, applying intelligent test selection and flaky-test analysis.
• Track test results, defects, and quality metrics; use automation and AI to triage defects, summarize results, detect trends, and support issue resolution.
• Develop quality standards and responsible-AI testing guidelines, contribute to continuous improvement, identify automation opportunities, and deliver quality-process training to technical staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Typically 3+ years of related experience.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining unit, UI, and API test automation using frameworks such as Playwright, with strong skills in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or C#.
• Working knowledge of AI tools for testing and development, including prompt engineering, AI coding assistants, or AI-enabled test platforms, with the ability to critically evaluate their output.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated testing into build and release processes.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, including judgment about when to apply AI and automation and when human insight is needed.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, meet deadlines, and work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Drive, initiative, curiosity, willingness to continuously learn and adopt emerging tools and techniques, and experience with systems development and testing.
