Test Automation Engineer (Selenium)

Location: Hybrid in Rockville, Maryland, United States; remote in the USA

Salary: $95,546–$105,875 per year; some positions may be eligible for bonuses.

What you will do

• Write test plans, cases, and scripts from user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Build and maintain automated test suites using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, and Postman that run in CI/CD.
• Execute functional, integration, regression, and Section 508 testing and support UAT.
• Maintain the requirements traceability matrix and log defects in VA tools.
• Report test results and coverage for release readiness.

Requirements

• Mid-level candidates must have 5+ years of software testing experience, including 3+ years of automation; Journeyman candidates must have 2+ years of software testing experience.
• Experience creating test plans, cases, and scripts from user stories and managing defects.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Ability to obtain a Tier 2 / Moderate Risk Public Trust and a VA PIV credential.

Nice to have

• Experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Postman in CI/CD.
• Experience maintaining requirements traceability matrices in Jira Xray or VA Quality Manager.
• Section 508 testing and UAT support experience.
• ISTQB Agile Tester certification.
• Section 508 Trusted Tester certification.
