Junior Forward Deployed Engineer (GenAI)

What you will do

• Build LLM-based solutions such as RAG pipelines, tool-using agents, workflow automation, and chat interfaces under senior guidance.
• Connect AI solutions to APIs, databases, and business systems using established patterns and templates.
• Support data protection and AI regulation requirements, including GDPR, the EU AI Act, and model licences.
• Support user adoption through documentation, training sessions, feedback collection, and clear updates for technical and business audiences.
• Measure solution performance in use and suggest improvements to senior colleagues.
• Spend time on client sites to understand operational challenges and identify practical AI applications.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in computer science, AI, or a related technical field; strong projects alongside the degree are valued.
• 0–2 years of experience from professional work, internships, research, or academic settings; recent graduates with solid LLM projects are encouraged to apply.
• Experience building with LLMs, including prompting, RAG, basic agent workflows, and checking model outputs with simple evaluation sets or tests.
• Clean, readable Python code and willingness to learn languages required by client stacks.
• Ability to call APIs and connect different systems.
• Ability to understand client value, prioritise tasks with guidance, and explain technical ideas to non-technical people.
• English and French required; Dutch is ideal. German is an advantage.

Nice to have

• Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI SDK, Anthropic SDK, or similar applied AI frameworks and SDKs.
• Experience deploying projects to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with MLOps or LLMOps, including prompt version control, evaluation pipelines, or monitoring.
• Working understanding of vector databases and embeddings.
