Senior AI Engineer

What you will do

• Design, build and industrialize AI solutions for concrete business and operational use cases.
• Develop traditional AI and generative AI solutions spanning machine learning, NLP, LLMs, semantic search, RAG and conversational AI.
• Train, fine-tune, improve and deploy ML and AI models using production-ready Python for online, batch and real-time applications.
• Build software components that make AI-driven use cases usable in practice.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, MLOps Engineers, Data Engineers, AI Architects and other specialists to integrate complete solutions.
• Build new AI solutions or support clients in operating and improving existing solutions over the medium to long term.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, Data Scientist, MLOps Engineer or in a similar position.
• Experience with traditional NLP, LLMs and conversational AI in both experimentation and production.
• Experience with vector databases for semantic search and RAG solutions in production.
• Strong software engineering background and ability to write production-ready Python code.
• Experience with experiment tracking, model monitoring, LLM and NLP evaluation techniques, and deployment strategies.
• Comfort with the machine learning lifecycle, MLOps and DevOps principles.
• Experience with at least one cloud provider and good knowledge of the data ecosystem.
• Ability to coach others, provide technical advice and direction, and work independently.
• Master’s or PhD in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Engineering or a related field; proficient in English and fluent in Dutch and/or French.
