Head of Procurement

Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia; willing to travel up to 30%

What you will do

• Lead the supply chain team implementing global and hub procurement and logistics strategies, standards, and guidelines in Malaysia.
• Lead team leaders and organizational transformation, including digitalization, workforce development, diversity, and required skills.
• Ensure company-level implementation of procurement standards, regulations, and guidelines while considering business unit practices.
• Drive business success initiatives and collaborate with corporate functions and business units.
• Manage PVO, CNI, organizational costs, and indirect material procurement with focus on cost, on-time delivery, and quality.
• Develop next-generation procurement capabilities through digital product transformation and new supplier collaboration models.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a similar field.
• At least 10 years of experience in at least two SCM areas: buying, commodity management, procurement team leadership in project, product, or solution business, procurement digitalization initiative leadership, or cost and value engineering.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience.
• Experience with a cross-functional or cross-business move and coordination of the procurement ecosystem through platforms, flexible processes, digital transformation, and complexity management.
• Experience coaching agile teams, responding flexibly to changing requirements, overseeing the entire value chain, and building foundations for innovation.
• Experience leading in the digital age, challenging the status quo, fostering innovation, and communicating a clear digital vision.
• Excellent English communication skills for effective work in an international environment.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%.
• Ability to stay current with digital trends, increase digital engagement, mobilize others, and turn visions into specific actions.
