Financial Due Diligence Senior Associate

Location: Los Angeles, Newport Beach, San Francisco, or San Jose, California, United States; hybrid work with in-person attendance at least three days per week at a hirify.global office or client site.

Base salary: $121,440–$154,836 per year.

What you will do

• Perform buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements, including carve-outs, for clients, private equity investors, and asset-based lenders.
• Conduct financial due diligence across Income Statement and Balance Sheet areas, including operational data, net working capital, debt, and debt-like items.
• Identify key risks and business drivers, formulate questions, and propose basic adjustments.
• Prepare Quality of Earnings and tailored transaction advisory reports covering normalized earnings, valuation assumptions, budgets, indebtedness, borrowing bases, and carve-out financial statements.
• Collaborate with partners and senior managers on proposals and business development calls while meeting targeted billing hours.
• Supervise, train, mentor, and assess associates.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• 2–6 years of related work experience in a similar consulting practice or function servicing cross-industry clients at a national level required.
• Solid experience in accounting, audit, or transaction advisory services.
• Strong current knowledge of US GAAP, GAAS, SEC Reporting, transaction advisory services, or mergers and acquisitions.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and simultaneous projects in a rapidly growing practice.
• Strong leadership, business development, recruitment, training, and mentoring skills.
• Excellent written, presentation, leadership, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Travel as needed, with expected travel of up to 25%.

Nice to have

• CPA or CPA in process.
• Prior relevant consulting experience.
