Cost Accountant (AI Infrastructure)

Location: On-site, Las Vegas, Nevada; Monday–Friday in the Las Vegas HQ office. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.

What you will do

• Manage item master data, BOMs, inventory valuation, standard costing, variance analysis, overhead allocation, physical counts, and inventory reconciliations.
• Track GPUs, servers, network switches, chassis, and other components through staging, assembly, deployment, and data center locations.
• Move costs from raw inventory into Construction-in-Progress and capitalize them as fixed assets when placed in service.
• Develop landed-cost methodologies covering freight, customs, tariffs, insurance, and handling fees; reconcile related invoices and liabilities.
• Build and continuously improve the cost accounting function, including SOPs for inventory, assembly builds, and asset deployment.
• Report unit economics and support FP&A with forecasting, financial reports, margin reporting, break-even analysis, and decision-making metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• 2–4+ years of progressive cost accounting experience in manufacturing, data centers, or hardware infrastructure.
• Experience building processes, policies, or systems from the ground up in a high-growth startup environment.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP for landed costs, FIFO or weighted-average inventory valuation, CIP, and ASC 360 fixed-asset capitalization.
• Strong experience with enterprise ERP systems, with NetSuite highly preferred, and advanced Excel skills including data modeling and large-dataset manipulation.
• Ability to work on-site Monday–Friday in the Las Vegas HQ office.

Nice to have

• CPA or CMA designation.
• Ability to adapt manufacturing concepts such as BOMs, routings, and work-in-process to revenue-generating AI infrastructure.
• Experience communicating complex cost accounting requirements to engineers and warehouse staff.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and create processes without an existing playbook.
