Senior Manager, Finance (Healthcare)

Location: Hybrid, Toronto, Canada; travel up to 5%.

Salary: $140,000–$165,000/year.

What you will do

• Lead Canadian strategic finance activities and connect Finance perspectives with senior business leadership.
• Own Finance business planning, forecasting, long-range planning, performance reviews, variance analysis, and executive reporting.
• Develop scalable financial models, scenarios, dashboards, business cases, and decision support for investments, transformation initiatives, pricing, renewals, and vendor decisions.
• Oversee local accounting deliverables, US GAAP compliance, local tax requirements, SOX controls, monthly close improvements, and high-volume tax recovery processes.
• Lead Finance localization and transition initiatives, including ownership, segregation of duties, documentation, training, testing, and controls.
• Build Finance team capability through coaching, succession planning, cross-training, and process documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field required.
• 7–10+ years of progressive Finance experience spanning financial planning, business partnership, and people leadership.
• Experience advising and influencing senior leadership and communicating recommendations.
• Experience reviewing financial results, challenging material variances, and translating performance into forward-looking actions.
• Experience leading Finance transformation or systems improvement, including AI-enabled initiatives.
• Experience developing Finance talent across multiple disciplines and levels.
• Clear executive communication and strong financial modelling, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Advanced Excel and financial systems skills; practical experience with BI, automation, and AI-enabled Finance tools is preferred.
• Comfort with hands-on leadership, competing priorities, and ambiguity.

• CPA, CFA, or equivalent professional designation.
• Big Four, public-company, healthcare, technology, or regulated-industry experience.
