Instructional Assistant Professor of Physics

What you will do

• Teach 15 semester credit hours per semester through introductory Physics and Astronomy lectures and laboratories.
• Teach both science and non-science majors.
• Provide service on departmental, university, and professional committees and initiatives.
• Participate in community outreach, discipline advancement, and recruitment efforts in the Department of Mathematics and Physics.
• Maintain a regular face-to-face presence on campus and in the workplace.

Requirements

• Earned doctorate in Physics or a closely related discipline is required.
• ABDs may be considered, but the doctorate must be earned on or before August 16, 2027.
• Previous teaching experience in Physics and Astronomy at a similar institution is strongly encouraged.
• Applicants must be able to fulfill the position's face-to-face campus attendance requirement.
• Employment is contingent on credential verification and completion of a criminal history check.
