AVP, Agentic & Generative AI PM (AI)

Location: Portland, Maine, USA; other listed location: Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA

Base salary: $133,500–$274,100 annually, depending on skills, geographical location, and experience.

What you will do

• Own the strategy, discovery, development, MVP delivery, production deployment, and enterprise scaling of agentic and generative AI products.
• Identify and prioritize high-value AI use cases with business leaders and technical teams, then integrate AI into business processes and digital assets.
• Lead cross-functional teams of Product Managers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, Data Scientists, AI Engineers, Software Engineers, Architects, and business partners.
• Support the advanced analytics roadmap and establish an AI platform with standard tools, processes, and ways of working.
• Define product success through business outcomes, customer experience, adoption, reliability, trust, and economics.
• Influence senior executives on AI strategy and investment while developing, coaching, and engaging product-focused teams.

Requirements

• Background in Product Management, computer science and mathematics, Data Science, Operational Research, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of Product Management experience, including significant experience building and scaling technology products within technology companies or sophisticated digital organizations.
• Personally led agentic AI products from development through successful production deployment at organizational or business-unit scale.
• Proven ability to move agentic AI solutions beyond prototypes or pilots into production with meaningful user adoption and measurable business outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of AI technologies and technical fluency sufficient to work effectively with Data Scientists, AI/ML Engineers, Software Engineers, and Architects.
• Practical experience operating agentic AI products at scale, including evaluation, observability, reliability, guardrails, human oversight, orchestration, security, cost, and ongoing product operations.
• Experience with modern AI/ML and generative AI technologies and platforms.
• Experience taking ideas from strategy through tactical execution and making sound judgments about when agentic AI is or is not appropriate.
• Experience communicating technical vision to non-technical stakeholders, leading and developing product-focused teams, and influencing senior business leaders, customers, technical teams, and governance partners.
