Director - Product Ownership for Agentic AI PCs

Location: Palo Alto, California, United States of America. Additional location: Austin, Texas, United States of America.

Salary: $182,750.00–$320,250.00 USD annually, with additional bonus and/or equity opportunities for United States of America candidates only.

What you will do

• Lead the Product Owner organization and define the strategy and prioritized portfolio for agentic AI experiences on hirify.global PCs and edge devices.
• Lead customer research, persona and journey definition, prototyping, and specifications for agent behavior, context, consent, confirmation, recovery, accessibility, and cross-device continuity.
• Translate experience goals into requirements for responsiveness, battery impact, memory use, offline behavior, and privacy, balancing local and cloud execution with engineering.
• Develop Product Owners, maintain backlog priorities and acceptance criteria, and resolve feature trade-offs with agile squads.
• Evaluate product increments on representative devices and define adoption, task success, usage, and satisfaction measures with portfolio and business teams.
• Hire and develop product leaders, manage capacity and investment proposals, build succession plans, and represent decisions to senior executives.

Requirements

• Typically 15 or more years in technology product management, product ownership, or related technical roles, including at least 7 years leading teams and experience managing managers.
• Commercially shipped PC, device, or embedded-system experiences with evidence of adoption or customer-outcome improvement after launch.
• Experience bringing AI or ML capabilities into production products, with practical understanding of agentic workflows, tool use, contextual behavior, and evaluation of probabilistic outputs.
• Ability to make experience trade-offs involving CPU, GPU, or NPU capability, OS integration, memory, latency, power, privacy, and intermittent connectivity.
• Experience leading discovery and iterative delivery across product, design, and systems engineering using clear acceptance criteria and evidence-based prioritization.
• Ability to build global leadership teams, manage budgets and capacity, and influence executives.
• Degree in engineering, computer science, HCI, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Windows PCs, connected-device ecosystems, enterprise endpoint requirements, or OEM, silicon, and OS partners.
• Experience with on-device generative AI, multimodal interaction, personalization, or coordinated local-device and cloud experiences.
• Exposure to device-linked subscriptions, feature packaging, and enterprise or consumer adoption programs.
