Sr. Trade Compliance Manager (Import/Export)

Location: Hybrid in Seattle, United States of America; Spokane Valley is also listed as an additional location.

Annual base pay: $116,200–$174,200.

What you will do

• Manage international cross-border import/export processes for the hirify.global Services RMA business.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for international trade compliance and provide oversight across the services business.
• Research US and international regulations, identify risks, report findings, and implement corrective processes.
• Coordinate with logistics teams, customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, manufacturing partners, and external consultants.
• Maintain documentation, procedures, and data integrity while driving process improvement and lead-time reduction.
• Support internal and external customers and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of recent experience in customs brokerage or logistics and 5+ years working directly with customers.
• 5+ years of experience exporting equipment, preferably high-tech equipment.
• Thorough understanding of import regulations for the Middle East, Latin America, Hong Kong, China, and other regions.
• Experience managing logistics service providers, international brokers, and outside consultants, including interpreting international laws and implementing procedures.
• Experience creating operating manuals and written procedures and developing concepts, techniques, and standards at both high and detailed levels.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, including interaction with internal and external customers, consultants, service providers, and upper management.
• Strong research, process development, analytical, and numerical skills.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Access, and Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain, International Business, Finance, or a similar field.
