Paralegal (Insurance Litigation)

Location: Hybrid role requiring regular office time at 11080 Circle Point Road, Westminster, Colorado 80020, United States. Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Potential starting salary: $62,062–$75,000 per year, plus potential yearly incentive pay of up to 15% of base salary.

What you will do

• Assist attorneys with discovery, pre-trial matters, assigned case files, and other legal services under supervision.
• Prepare cases for court appearances, depositions, and trials.
• Contact and coordinate with clients, experts, and witnesses throughout litigation.
• Collect medical records and prepare medical record summaries, billing summaries, and medical chronologies.
• Draft motions, pleadings, reports, and discovery-related documents.

Requirements

• 2+ years of recent civil litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense or personal injury, and prior litigation paralegal experience.
• Experience drafting discovery responses, preparing trials, and drafting motions and pleadings.
• Familiarity with Colorado court rules and procedures.
• Experience reviewing medical records and preparing medical chronologies.
• Strong organizational, independent-working, prioritization, multitasking, communication, and written communication skills, with attention to detail.
• Strong software and technical skills, including experience with Adobe Bookmarking, a Case Management system, and a Document Storage system.
• Qualifying background in litigation or paralegal work, a paralegal degree, certificate or certification, medical training, relevant coursework, or a legal studies degree.
