Senior Engineer (Rust/Go)

What you will do

• Own features for the ingress proxy service from design through production.
• Extend ingress controls to cover traffic from AI agents.
• Build, operate, and evolve high-concurrency networked systems.
• Optimize latency and throughput using profiling tools and efficient concurrency models.
• Safely modernize legacy systems while they remain in production, migrating traffic incrementally.
• Collaborate across teams to understand customer needs, refine requirements, review changes, and deliver production software.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production systems.
• Strong hands-on systems programming experience in Rust or Go; languages with strong safety guarantees are preferred.
• Working knowledge of HTTP and TLS.
• Experience building and operating asynchronous services with high concurrency, including understanding backpressure, cancellation, and non-blocking I/O failure modes.
• Experience optimizing networked applications for latency and throughput.
• Strong security engineering background, including threat modeling, vulnerability mitigation, and data integrity in distributed environments.
• Experience modernizing legacy systems in production, safely migrating traffic in stages, and evaluating language and architecture trade-offs.
• Comprehensive testing experience, including fuzzing, property-based testing, and integration testing.
• Ability to explain and defend architectural decisions, share secure development practices, and assess AI-generated code for correctness, maintainability, and architectural fit.
• Ability to own the full service lifecycle and communicate effectively within and across teams.
