What you will do
- Design, build, and evolve scalable distributed backend systems and high-throughput data processing pipelines.
- Develop reliable, high-performance services focused on concurrency, efficiency, fault tolerance, and asynchronous processing.
- Design and improve event-driven architectures, asynchronous workflows, and distributed coordination mechanisms.
- Solve challenges involving consistency, retries, idempotency, deduplication, backpressure, and failure recovery.
- Make architectural decisions involving distributed storage, messaging systems, and data processing strategies while improving throughput, latency, resource utilization, and infrastructure cost efficiency.
- Own critical services end-to-end, lead technical design discussions, and collaborate across engineering teams on platform capabilities and technical direction.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering experience designing, building, and operating complex production backend systems.
- Deep understanding of distributed systems fundamentals, concurrency, asynchronous processing, consistency, and fault tolerance.
- Strong proficiency in Go, or comparable backend programming experience with the ability to become productive in Go.
- Experience designing and operating systems using messaging technologies such as Kafka, Google Cloud Pub/Sub, or AWS SQS.
