Bridge Engineer (Midas Civil)

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid workplace.

Salary: CAD 95,000–110,000 annually.

What you will do

• Perform detailed structural design and analysis calculations for complex bridge structures in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Develop and review bridge designs and analytical models using structural analysis and design software, including Midas Civil.
• Check calculations, models, and design outputs prepared by Engineers and Engineers-in-Training to ensure technical accuracy and quality.
• Provide engineering judgement and technical input on complex bridge design issues, developing safe, efficient, and practical solutions.
• Coordinate bridge designs with multidisciplinary teams and broader project requirements and interfaces.
• Support design-stage delivery, technical reviews, design assurance, and quality management across bridge engineering activities while mentoring junior engineers and EITs.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of bridge engineering experience.
• Professional Engineer designation (PEng) in Ontario.
• Extensive experience undertaking bridge design and analysis calculations.
• Strong experience with bridge structural analysis and design software, including Midas Civil.
• Strong Revit modelling capability.
• Structural detailing awareness.
• Multidisciplinary coordination skills.
• Problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Alliance experience.
• Local experience with Ontario infrastructure bridge projects.
• Experience delivering projects using BIM.
• Experience working on multidisciplinary and large, complex projects.
