Contracts Manager (AI)

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end contract management process, including intake, triage, tracking, approvals, signature coordination, and recordkeeping.
• Conduct first-pass review and negotiation of routine agreements, particularly NDAs, using templates, playbooks, and escalation guidelines.
• Support vendor, procurement, SaaS, technology, data licensing, and other commercial agreements.
• Coordinate Legal, Security, Privacy, Compliance, Finance, and business stakeholder reviews, follow-ups, approvals, and execution timelines.
• Manage contract documentation, version control, signature workflows, executed agreement storage, trackers, and reporting.
• Improve workflows, templates, playbooks, and standard operating procedures, including opportunities for AI-powered automation and process scaling.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in contracts management, commercial legal operations, or a related role.
• Prior experience working directly with an in-house legal team and supporting attorneys and business stakeholders through commercial contracting processes.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage commercial agreements from intake through execution.
• Familiarity with NDAs, vendor agreements, SaaS agreements, technology-related agreements, and other commercial contracts.
• Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management, internal approval processes, and signature workflows.
• Experience using AI-powered tools, AI agents, or automation to streamline contracting and scale legal operations.
• Excellent organizational, project management, written communication, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to manage high request volume and competing priorities across legal, technical, and business teams.
• Sound judgment, proactive ownership, attention to detail, autonomy, and the ability to identify issues that require escalation.
