Full Stack Software Engineer (AWS, Python, TypeScript)

Location: Fully remote; open to engineers located in the United States or LATAM

What you will do

• Build and maintain cloud-native applications with a primary focus on backend and AWS serverless development.
• Develop backend services, APIs, integrations, and asynchronous application functionality.
• Contribute to frontend experiences with React or Angular as part of end-to-end feature delivery.
• Own application features from implementation through deployment and production delivery.
• Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, testing, refactoring, and codebase exploration.
• Collaborate with distributed, cross-functional engineering teams to solve practical application challenges.

Requirements

• Strong professional experience in full-stack software engineering, with greater emphasis on backend development.
• Strong production experience with Python and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining applications on AWS, including serverless architectures and services.
• Experience designing, building, and integrating backend services and APIs.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture, asynchronous processing, integrations, and distributed application patterns.
• Experience with automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD, source control, and modern production engineering practices.
• Experience with React and/or Angular and the ability to contribute to frontend development when required.
• Ability to understand existing codebases, application architecture, dependencies, and business logic independently.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted software development tools, plus strong problem-solving, ownership, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Deep experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, or DynamoDB.
• Experience designing event-driven and asynchronous AWS architectures.
• Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
• Experience with Docker, ECS, EKS, application monitoring, logging, and observability in AWS environments.
• Experience with Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar agentic and AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience with new development, application modernization, and AWS certifications or demonstrated AWS depth.
