Senior Data Scientist (Automotive AI/ML)

Location: Remote in Spain or Sweden; Europe (Remote)

What you will do

• Design and deploy AI/ML solutions that process, link, enrich, and interpret large-scale automotive data.
• Apply LLMs, text and data mining, and classical machine learning to detect anomalies and analyze vehicle data.
• Evaluate and optimize models, deploy them into production, and develop monitoring tools.
• Manage controlled data changes from testing and approval through post-go-live monitoring, including preprocessing logic, quality rules, validation results, and change records.
• Lead complex end-to-end data science projects and collaborate with technology, engineering, and product teams.
• Use Python, SQL, Snowflake, and Tableau for advanced data manipulation, analytics, reporting, and data pipeline transparency.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of professional experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 6 years with a Graduate degree, including 4+ years working with large and complex structured, semi-structured, and unstructured datasets.
• 4+ years of applied Python programming for data science.
• 4+ years working with database software such as MS SQL, Snowflake, or MySQL.
• Hands-on experience with advanced AI/ML methods in data processing.
• Ability to communicate technical processes to a lay audience and present analytical findings to internal stakeholders.
• Curiosity and passion for solving problems with data.
• Fluent English is required.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the country where employment is offered; employment sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying Python processes on Snowpark or Snowpark Container Services and cloud-based MLOps systems.
• Experience using Claude in machine learning or data science projects.
• Shareable data visualization examples, preferably created with Tableau.
• Experience deploying machine learning models into production with an API and building data engineering pipelines.
• Experience with automotive market data.
• PhD in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of other European languages.
