Senior Data Scientist (AI)

Location: Barcelona, Spain; hybrid work with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote. Office located in the Sarrià-Sant Gervasi district.

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable impact-measurement solutions for retail media campaigns, promotions, pricing, availability changes, and sales.
• Analyze large-scale e-commerce data covering prices, availability, search, retail media, and sales across 1,000+ e-retailers in 60+ countries.
• Select appropriate analytical complexity, starting with simple approaches and adding sophistication when it creates value.
• Collaborate with Product, Data Engineering, and ML Engineering to turn analyses and models into platform features.
• Communicate findings, limitations, and business implications to non-technical colleagues and clients.
• Share knowledge and support less experienced data scientists.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Scientist or in an advanced analytics role, with solutions used in a real business context.
• Strong analytical background in statistics, experimentation including A/B testing, and messy real-world data.
• Knowledge of causal inference methods, including difference-in-differences, synthetic control, matching, and uplift models, and understanding of when to use each method.
• Strong Python and SQL skills with hands-on experience processing large datasets efficiently.
• Ability to explain technical results simply.
• Fluent English and Spanish.
• Scientific rigor, preference for simple and reliable solutions, curiosity about client problems, and honesty about data limitations.
• Ability to collaborate with people from different backgrounds and roles.

Nice to have

• Experience in e-commerce, retail media, marketing measurement, or CPG.
• Experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS, and data platforms such as Snowflake.
