Data Scientist III (AI)

Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada; work from the Montreal office three days per week.

Salary: CAD 114,200–152,750 annually, plus potential performance-based bonus and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and deploy production-grade data science and AI solutions across hirify.global products using large-scale workforce and HCM data.
• Build generative AI applications, RAG systems, agentic workflows, and end-to-end ML/AI pipelines.
• Own model validation, deployment, monitoring, iteration, reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Create evaluation frameworks for model quality and measurable business impact.
• Write modular production code and collaborate on CI/CD, observability, scaling, and SaaS integrations.
• Mentor junior data scientists through code reviews, model reviews, and modeling best practices.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, experimentation, and evaluation frameworks.
• Deep expertise in one or more areas including NLP, deep learning, time series, or clustering.
• Hands-on experience building services and solving problems with LLMs and generative AI techniques.
• Proven experience implementing and deploying machine learning models in production.
• Strong proficiency in Python, including pandas, scikit-learn, and PySpark; SQL/BigQuery; and version control.
• Experience building and maintaining production data pipelines and large-scale MLOps workflows.
• Hands-on experience with cloud ML infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and integrating models into SaaS applications.
• Ability to work independently, think strategically, execute projects, influence others, and communicate effectively across organizational levels.
• French is required for Quebec roles, and English is also required.
