Financial Analyst/Investigator Grants

Location: Remote, United States. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Salary: $55,000–$80,300 USD per year, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Develop global investigator site budgets during proposal preparation and revisions.
• Support full project budget development using Excel-based costing tools, financial formulas, client grids, and study assumptions.
• Coordinate with vendors, third parties, proposal stakeholders, and clients to meet production schedules and support change orders.
• Participate in strategy meetings and identify key budget components from proposals and client materials.
• Develop or revise investigator grant budgets and provide justifications for change orders.
• Maintain departmental records, reporting requirements, and financial analyses of budgeted studies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in site budgeting and/or proposal development in the life sciences arena; 3–5 years in a CRO environment is preferred.
• Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality, client-ready operational budgets and proposals.
• Strong organization and time management skills, including the ability to shift priorities quickly.
• Detailed orientation with a strong focus on quality.
• High proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft applications.
• Ability to work collaboratively in support of departmental and company goals.
• Minimal travel required for company meetings.

Nice to have

• 3–5 years of experience in a CRO environment.
• Strong knowledge of investigator grant development and site budgeting techniques.
• Experience with Grants Manager or similar investigator site budgeting tools.
• Basic medical terminology knowledge.
• Ability to perform efficient quality control and identify and articulate constructive solutions.
