Sr SAP Basis Administrator

Location: Remote US home office; willingness and ability to work on site as required; 0%–10% business travel

Starting base salary: $119,000–$180,000 per year

What you will do

• Administer, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize SAP S/4HANA and SAP HANA production environments.
• Coordinate SAP RISE/ECS incidents, maintenance, patching, upgrades, SAP Notes, kernel updates, and infrastructure activities.
• Manage transports across DEV, QA, and Production, including system refreshes, client copies, post-copy activities, and technical validation.
• Administer SAP BTP, Cloud Connector, certificates, destinations, connectivity, Event Mesh, SAP IBP integrations, SAC, and SAP Cloud ALM.
• Support SSO, authentication, integrations, business continuity, disaster recovery, failover testing, and recovery activities.
• Perform root cause analysis, maintain runbooks and technical documentation, support audits, and improve or automate BASIS monitoring and controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field with 8+ years of SAP BASIS experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong hands-on experience supporting SAP S/4HANA and HANA production environments.
• Experience with SAP BTP, Cloud Connector, certificates, connectivity, and hybrid SAP landscapes.
• Experience with ITGC/SOX controls, audit requirements, change management, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, oral, written, interpersonal, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to independently execute technical activities, prioritize multiple assignments, and own issues through resolution.
• High accuracy and attention to detail; strong organizational skills while handling multiple projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work from a US home office and on site as required. Must remain stationary and use a computer or standard office equipment for extended periods and communicate and exchange accurate information daily.

Nice to have

• SAP BASIS, SAP S/4HANA, or SAP BTP certification.
• Experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or other highly regulated environments.
• Working knowledge of SAP IBP integrations, Event Mesh, IAS/IPS, SSO with SAML 2.0 and Kerberos/SNC, SAC, and SAP Cloud ALM.
