Storage Area Network (SAN) Administrator

Location: Must reside within commutable distance of Columbus, OH; Dayton, OH; Hill AFB, Utah; Richmond, VA; or Tracy, CA, and work onsite full time. The role involves working in an office and, when needed, in communications closets.

Salary: Projected range of $110,000+ annually. Final compensation depends on relevant experience, security clearance, certifications, technical skills, contract requirements, and overall qualifications.

What you will do

• Engineer, plan, design, evaluate, select, upgrade, and administer enterprise Storage Area Network (SAN) systems.
• Configure and administer storage arrays, Fibre Channel switches, HBAs/CNAs, storage controllers, LUNs, RAID, and related SAN components.
• Manage NAS file sharing using CIFS, NFS, and SMB, including storage integration for Windows, UNIX, and Linux systems.
• Administer backup and restore clients and servers, disaster recovery capabilities, data restoration, and storage consolidation procedures.
• Perform testing, troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, storage analysis, capacity and performance planning, and change management.
• Document procedures and storage policies, prepare reports, and recommend best practices, new technologies, and configuration enhancements.

Requirements

• At least three years of hands-on enterprise SAN management experience, including Fibre Channel zoning, iSCSI, FCoE unified fabric, HBA/CNA, storage controllers, LUN, RAID, file sharing, and NAS.
• Hands-on experience managing enterprise hierarchical storage systems and operating enterprise backup and restore services, including software such as Veritas NetBackup.
• At least two years of hands-on experience with Department of Defense IT systems.
• Top Secret clearance, or Secret clearance with a favorably adjudicated Tier 5/SSBI investigation.
• A compliant DoD 8570 IAT II certification, such as CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CASP CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, or GCIH.
• One current certification from the following: AWS CSA Associate, AWS CSA Professional, GIAC GDSA, MC: Azure AA, MC: Azure SAE, NetApp Certified Data Administrator, NetApp Certified Hybrid Cloud Implementation Engineer, NetApp Certified Hybrid Cloud Architect, NetApp Certified Hybrid Cloud Administrator, NetApp Certified Implementation Engineer - SAN Specialist, ONTAP, NetApp Certified Technology Associate, Pure Certified Data Storage Associate, Pure Certified FlashArray Implementation Specialist, or Veritas Certified Specialist - NetBackup.
• Must be able to reside within commutable distance of one of the listed customer locations and work onsite full time.
• Must be able to work at a computer for extended hours in an office environment and in communications closets when required.
