Director, Global Reserving Actuary

Location: Warren, NJ, United States; additional locations in Atlanta, GA, New York, NY, London, and Zurich, Switzerland

Salary: $150,000–$205,000 annually

What you will do

• Lead quarterly reserve reviews and reserve indication analyses for assigned insurance and reinsurance portfolios.
• Evaluate reserve adequacy using historical development patterns, emerging trends, operational changes, adverse development, reserve volatility, and emerging exposures.
• Present reserve recommendations and actionable insights to reserving leadership and senior business stakeholders.
• Support quarterly financial close, external reporting, capital modeling, planning assumptions, and enterprise risk initiatives.
• Collaborate with Claims, Underwriting, Pricing, and Finance to assess portfolio performance and support auditors and regulators.
• Develop reserving methodologies, tools, and governance standards while mentoring junior actuarial staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field.
• 5–10 years of P&C actuarial experience, including significant reserving experience.
• ACAS certification required; FCAS preferred.
• Strong knowledge of reserving methodologies and actuarial standards.
• Experience communicating actuarial analyses to senior stakeholders.
• Proficiency with actuarial software, SQL, Python, or related tools.
• Strong project management and leadership capabilities.
