Associate Manager, TX Operations (Vehicle Operations)

Location: Laredo, Texas, United States; hybrid work with at least 3 days per week in the office and potentially up to 5 days based on operational needs.

Base salary: $112,500–$133,500 per year, plus benefits.

What you will do

• Lead a multidisciplinary team of managers and/or operators in Vehicle Operations.
• Drive fleet optimization, productivity, efficiency, continuous improvement, and team morale.
• Build an empathetic, safety-focused culture and develop team members through their strengths and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally and communicate hirify.global initiatives and programs across all team levels.
• Act as the point of contact for key hirify.global initiatives related to Vehicle Operations.
• Follow hirify.global policies and the Vehicle Operations Manual while representing hirify.global to the public.

Requirements

• Safety-focused approach and the ability to make command decisions, lead by example, and motivate teams.
• Exceptional critical-thinking and communication skills.
• Experience working in a collaborative environment.
• Valid US driver’s license and clean driving history, validated by an MVR check.
• Ability to travel for up to one month at a time, up to 30% of the working time.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of people management focused on growth and development, including experience managing managers.
• Experience creating schedules, managing vacation requests, participating in quarterly planning, and setting goals.
• Experience working with and managing rotating shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, and some weekends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt to the audience.
• Strong technical aptitude, organizational skills, independent working ability, and ability to learn new software and processes.
• Ability to prioritize testing deliverables and assignments from high-level details and delegate appropriately.
• Ability to lead through ambiguity, set clear objectives, and maintain a safety-first approach.
• Experience in operations, trucking, technology, or customer service, plus conflict management and resolution experience.
