Regulatory Counsel (Healthcare)

Location: US - Remote; available to US-based candidates

Salary: $175,000–$210,000 annually for US-based candidates; candidates outside the US will receive a location-specific range from the recruiter.

What you will do

• Advise the business and multiple units on pharmacy regulatory compliance across all jurisdictions where the company operates, including all 50 states.
• Provide guidance on compounding, pharmacy operations, API manufacturing, fulfillment, licensing, quality, and related facility matters.
• Interpret federal and state laws, rules, and regulations affecting pharmacies and other facilities, and identify related privacy, care delivery, litigation, and product issues.
• Collaborate with the Litigation team on regulatory inquiries and complaints from the FDA and state Boards of Pharmacy.
• Monitor pharmacy laws, regulations, and guidance and support the development and enforcement of facility policies and SOPs.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school and a current active license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction.
• 5+ years of healthcare regulatory experience, including at least 2 years advising in the pharmacy space.
• Experience interpreting and advising on state and federal laws, rules, and regulations applicable to pharmacy facilities and operations, including 503A and/or 503B facilities.
• Strong creative, solution-focused legal advice, impeccable judgment, issue-spotting, and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly, take initiative, manage time, and prioritize projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented, collaborative, and committed to a growth mindset and positive attitude.

Nice to have

• Interest in developing subject matter expertise in state and federal compounding laws.
• Experience interacting with licensing and regulatory authorities such as the FDA or state Boards of Pharmacy.
