Systems Engineer, Media Systems Support

What you will do

• Provide day-to-day support and monitoring for global engineering on-premises and cloud infrastructure in the US.
• Perform preventive maintenance and ensure maintenance tasks are completed on time.
• Investigate and resolve incidents and problems that cause service impact.
• Participate in the engineering support escalation group for system performance, stability, and security.
• Maintain infrastructure availability and develop resilient systems that reduce failures.
• Monitor incident tracking and ensure critical issues are resolved within service levels.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in an IT profession, preferably with a media company or broadcast operational environment.
• At least 3 years of experience deploying, configuring, and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure in GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Experience supporting 24/7 continuous-availability production and managed environments.
• Experience with cloud computing, virtualization, networking, storage, and Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Experience with continuous integration and Infrastructure as Code tools.
• Knowledge of networking, firewalls, load balancers, and IT operations best practices for always-on services.
• Flexibility to achieve business goals, effective communication with business and technical staff, and strong analytical, detail-oriented, accurate, and organized working practices.
