WNBA Basketball Administration & Compliance Analyst (Basketball Compliance)

Location: New York, USA; eligible employees may work remotely one day per week

Salary: $85,000–$100,000 annually

What you will do

• Support Whirify.global basketball administration and compliance, including the Player Contract Management System, player contract reviews, roster changes, Whirify.global Draft eligibility, and salary cap compliance.
• Serve as an additional contact for team General Managers and Assistant General Managers on roster, free agency, trade, and player movement matters.
• Coordinate compensation earned and paid with team payroll contacts, including base salaries and team, individual merit, and Developmental Player active games bonuses.
• Support Finance and Basketball Administration & Compliance in determining Shared Basketball Revenue.
• Oversee the Player Activity Tracking Application and coordinate with team contacts on Developmental Player game activation and related tracking.
• Develop departmental basketball administration processes and assist with logistics for the Whirify.global Draft, All-Star, Commissioner’s Cup, Playoffs, and Finals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; JD, MBA, and/or a finance background is a plus.
• 2+ years of post-graduate experience.
• Analytical approach and comfort working with and interpreting data.
• Strong project management experience and the ability to manage complex tasks.
• Expertise in Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal relationship-building abilities.
• Proactive and adaptive approach with a strong commitment to quality, organizational ethics, integrity, and compliance.
• Demonstrated passion for women’s basketball.
