Franchise Analytics Director (Pharmaceutical Analytics)

Location: Alameda, CA, United States; onsite office environment. Travel: 10% for conferences and organizational meetings, with the posting also stating up to 15% travel.

Base salary: $252,000–$320,000 per year, plus discretionary annual bonus and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Execute complex secondary-data analytics and reporting covering business performance, competition, promotional effectiveness, resource allocation, segmentation, and targeting.
• Lead or support omnichannel analytics, reporting, and quarterly demand forecasting, including assumptions, variance analysis, and updates.
• Guide predictive analytics and AI methodologies to uncover insights and actions from pharmaceutical data.
• Translate complex analyses into actionable business recommendations and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Assess promotional investments, identify optimization opportunities, and develop market segments and target customer groups.
• Partner with IT, Data Ops, and Market Access to build BI solutions and investigate trends and data anomalies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with 13 years of related experience, or a master’s degree with 11 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Hands-on experience analyzing large pharmaceutical datasets, including specialty pharmacy, specialty distributor, claims, and Xponent data, using advanced statistical techniques.
• Experience in biotech or pharmaceutical data analytics.
• Knowledge of forecasting techniques such as top-down forecasting and trending, and analytics related to the biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
• Ability to frame critical business questions, identify information needs and sources, structure and conduct analyses, and devise creative solutions to open-ended questions.
• Effective verbal and written presentation and communication skills, strong organization, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-evolving environment.
• Proficiency with Office products, including Excel and PowerPoint, and SQL.
• No supervisory responsibilities are assigned.

Nice to have

• Experience with forecasting and patient flow modelling techniques.
• Experience with oncology and product launches.
• Prior consulting experience.
• Experience with EHR data or vendor oversight.
