Senior Engineering Manager (AWS)

What you will do

• Lead architecture and design discussions covering APIs, databases, caching, messaging, resilience, observability, and end-to-end application architecture.
• Define technical direction for scalable, maintainable, secure, and cost-effective financial services solutions aligned with business priorities.
• Lead AWS engineering strategy, cloud-native application architecture, declarative infrastructure, serverless workflows, and cloud-native compute.
• Define data lake and processing strategies for real-time and near-real-time ingestion, processing, monitoring, and reporting.
• Embed security, compliance, DevSecOps, documentation, architectural standards, and reusable engineering practices into delivery.
• Mentor, manage, and develop engineering talent while building high-performing, collaborative teams and supporting cross-functional delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software engineering and architecture experience, including 3+ years in system and application design; experience with Spring Boot, Java, and/or JavaScript.
• Experience designing and delivering large-scale, multi-region cloud-native solutions, preferably on AWS, including event-driven and streaming architectures, EKS, ECS, and related cloud services.
• Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and modern software development methodologies.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and cross-functional initiatives, with excellent communication skills for explaining complex technical concepts and decisions.
• Adaptable, mission-driven leadership style with a collaborative approach and willingness to support off-hours incident response when necessary.

Nice to have

• AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional certification is strongly preferred.
• Experience automating finance-domain business processes.
