Sr. Database Administrator I (SQL Server)

Salary: $138,000–$184,000 per year, with potential performance-based bonuses and additional incentives.

What you will do

• Administer and optimize on-premises and cloud database systems, including schemas, tables, indexes, and stored procedures.
• Develop and refine SQL queries, scripts, and reporting logic for data access, extraction, analysis, and Power BI dashboards.
• Implement data retention, governance, access controls, auditing, backups, and data quality standards.
• Support database security, performance, integrity, consistency, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Build customer trust and provide creative database solutions aligned with customer needs.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
• 7–10 years of hands-on SQL Server administration and engineering experience.
• Experience with database automation and DevOps practices, including PowerShell, dbatools, or similar SQL Server automation tools.
• Experience with Desired State Configuration (DSC) or comparable configuration management technologies.
• Experience managing code and deployments with GitLab, GitHub, or similar version control platforms.
• Experience with Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or similar automation frameworks.
• Strong experience with SQL Server high availability, disaster recovery, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and security best practices.
