Sr. Applications Engineer (Power Semiconductors)

Location: Onsite in Kirkland, WA, United States

Target hiring range: $130,000–$170,000 per year

What you will do

• Design high-density 400V+ isolated DC-DC converters and develop analog circuits.
• Define high-density module products for CPU, GPU, ASIC, and SoC cloud-computing power solutions with design engineering, field applications, and marketing teams.
• Develop application reference circuits and system-level power management solutions for data center and AI applications.
• Perform hands-on lab evaluations, system- and board-level debugging, and prototype demonstrations.
• Support existing products and drive new product development through cross-functional collaboration.
• Write datasheets, application notes, design notes, and technical papers for magazines and conferences.

Requirements

• MSEE or higher required.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience designing switch-mode power supplies.
• Familiarity with oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, electronic loads, frequency analyzers, and similar lab equipment.
• Fluent English communication skills required.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated approach.

Nice to have

• Lab automation experience with Python.
• Experience with simulation tools such as Simplis, Maxwell, or Icepak.
• Experience in PCB design and layout.
