Senior Manager-Applications (Analog Power)

Location: Vestal, New York, United States; travel expected 0–25%; physical work includes 80% sitting, 10% standing, and 10% walking.

Annual base salary: $91,000–$247,000, plus restricted stock units and quarterly bonus payments.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a global applications engineering team, with a focus on senior managers reporting directly to the role.
• Set performance objectives, conduct reviews, and foster technical excellence and client-centric problem solving.
• Manage resource allocation across Analog Power product lines and client support, coordinating with global FAE leadership.
• Establish product line strategies and roadmaps with marketing and applications leaders, aligning them with business unit objectives.
• Coordinate cross-functional new product development and position complementary products as total system solutions for strategic end markets.
• Engage with key clients and FAE teams, monitor industry and competitive trends, and collaborate with IC architects on new power product definitions.

Requirements

• BSEE or MSEE, or equivalent; emphasis in power electronics or analog circuit design is preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive experience in analog/power semiconductor applications engineering, including at least 5 years in a leadership or management role.
• Expert-level knowledge of switch-mode power supply topologies, including buck, boost, buck-boost, flyback, and forward, as well as linear regulators and power modules.
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead geographically distributed engineering teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presenting complex technical concepts to engineers and executives.
• Ability to balance technical solution elegance with business impact.

Nice to have

• Background in automotive and/or safety-critical product development, including AEC-Q100 and similar automotive standards.
• Familiarity with ISO 26262 and/or IEC 61508 compliant design processes.
