Senior Manager, Infrastructure (Healthcare)

Location: Remote. Compensation is determined by geographic location, experience, and qualifications.

Salary: $160,000–$220,000 per year.

What you will do

• Manage, coach, and grow a small team of infrastructure engineers while owning its backlog and delivery commitments.
• Partner with security, compliance, data, and product engineering leaders to set priorities and make tradeoffs visible.
• Own the AWS environment, EKS clusters, GitOps deployment with Argo CD, and CI/CD platform across services.
• Write and review Terraform, Helm, pipeline, and other infrastructure code, focusing on the highest-risk work.
• Own managed data infrastructure including Postgres, Redis, Kafka, and warehouse systems.
• Build security and compliance controls; own backup, disaster recovery, observability, and the platform on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, platform, DevOps, or SRE roles, including 2+ years managing engineers or leading a team with responsibility for people and delivery.
• Deep, current hands-on AWS experience, including multi-account environments, networking, and IAM.
• Strong production Kubernetes experience, ideally with EKS.
• Strong Terraform experience, including reusable modules and safe state management.
• Experience building and owning CI/CD across many services.
• Ability to write code in at least one of TypeScript, Python, or Go.
• Experience in a regulated environment such as HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC 1, SOC 2, or PCI.
• Strong backlog management and stakeholder communication skills, with clear written communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with Argo CD, Kafka on MSK, or Redshift and dbt infrastructure.
• Cloud cost management, FinOps, and multi-region AWS architecture experience.
• Disaster recovery design and testing experience.
• Familiarity with healthcare systems or sensitive data, startup or fast-paced product environments, and AI-assisted infrastructure workflows.
