Senior Manager - Software Engineering (AI)

Location: Remote - Nebraska, United States. Hybrid work is available for associates living within 30 miles of an office location, with in-office presence three days per week.

Annual compensation: $150,000-$165,000, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Lead multiple software engineering teams, including managers and senior engineers, to deliver committed outcomes on schedule and within quality standards.
• Integrate the team into hirify.global Campus Commerce’s broader engineering organization, aligning structures, practices, and standards.
• Set objectives, measures, priorities, roadmaps, delivery plans, and technical direction aligned with business and technology strategy.
• Drive engineering standards for architecture, code quality, testing, security, release management, automation, and DevOps.
• Lead responsible adoption of AI-assisted development across software building, testing, and delivery.
• Manage talent development, staffing, capacity, budgets, vendors, operational performance, escalations, risks, and dependencies.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development or engineering experience, including delivery of enterprise applications.
• 4+ years of people leadership experience, including leading managers or multiple teams.
• Demonstrated success partnering with product and business stakeholders on roadmaps and delivery.
• Ability to connect technical decisions to business outcomes and long-term architecture.
• Experience building, coaching, and holding managers accountable for results.
• Strong influence, collaboration, judgment, risk management, adaptability, and bias toward action.
• Must already be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience introducing AI-assisted tools or practices into a software engineering workflow.
• Experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD, and modern engineering practices.
• Experience in financial services, education technology, or other regulated environments.
