Lead Accountant

Location: Austin, TX, US, 78753; applicants must be legally authorized to reside and work in the United States. International relocation and remote work outside the hiring country are not considered.

What you will do

• Prepare and maintain account reconciliations, review transactions for policy compliance, and escalate significant issues.
• Perform root-cause analysis of monthly and yearly variances and maintain supporting documentation.
• Complete assigned activities within the two-day month-end close and support reconciliation reviews.
• Apply accounting standards, including IFRS 15 and IFRS 16, and prepare audit schedules and responses.
• Lead accounting research, recommend practical solutions, and support special projects with multiple concurrent deadlines.
• Retrieve and analyze current and historical financial data using Oracle, OneStream, Cubeware, Excel, and other tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 7 or more years of relevant experience; or a master’s degree in a related field with 5 or more years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards, including IFRS 15 and IFRS 16.
• Ability to interpret and apply accounting and financial policies, evaluate transactions, and understand their financial impact.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with Oracle, OneStream, or comparable financial systems.
• Ability to work independently, own multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and lead initiatives without direct authority.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, organizational, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Applicants must be currently and legally authorized to reside and work in the hiring country; immigration sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Certified Public Accountant designation or equivalent professional accounting certification.
