What you will do

• Work with enterprise customers to understand requirements across data replication, transformation, and modeling.
• Develop and deliver technical presentations explaining the end-to-end platform value proposition.
• Run proof-of-value processes spanning ingestion through transformation and guide dbt Cloud proof-of-concept implementations, including applicable private-cloud deployments.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to align solutions with enterprise needs and inform the dbt Cloud roadmap.
• Build relationships with enterprise customers and partners including Snowflake, AWS, and Databricks.
• Own the technical relationship from presales evaluation through adoption and expansion, while staying current with data movement, transformation, and analytics engineering.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data replication, sales engineering, solutions architecture, or consulting across data operations, analytics, or BI.
• Strong technical background in database replication, cloud infrastructure, and modern data warehousing architectures.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, ETL/ELT, and data modeling.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses or lakes, transformation tooling such as dbt or similar, data catalogs, and BI tools.
• Ability to translate technical and business requirements into concrete solutions.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with comfort working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.

Nice to have

• Experience at an analytics, ETL, BI, or open-source software company.
• Hands-on experience with dbt Cloud, dbt Core, or Fivetran.
• Experience with dimensional, data vault, Kimball, or 3NF modeling methodologies.
• Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or enterprise ETL tools such as Informatica, Boomi, or Talend.
• Experience with self-hosted software, supporting infrastructure, networking, cloud, and on-premise environments.
