Analytical Chemistry Lab Technician

Location: On-site in Phoenix or Chandler, Arizona, United States. Shift 6: overnight Wednesday–Friday and alternating Saturday night.

Annual salary range: $60,450–$116,640 USD for this hourly role.

What you will do

• Prepare, mix, and analyze chemical samples using titration, ICP-OES, HPLC/IC, CVS, and related laboratory methods.
• Handle, store, and dispose of process chemicals while following chemical hygiene, industrial hygiene, and safety requirements.
• Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and repairs on analytical laboratory instruments.
• Collect and analyze laboratory outputs and prepare technical data summaries and engineering reports for factory processes.
• Support ISO 9001 quality compliance, audits, continuous improvement, technical documentation, process transfers, and Best Known Methods.
• Participate in cross-training across laboratory toolsets and analytical benches.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field such as Chemistry or Biochemistry, or an Associate degree plus 2+ years of related laboratory experience.
• At least 1 year of experience with wet chemistry techniques, including titration, sample preparation, or chemical dilution.
• At least 1 year of experience using or maintaining high-precision laboratory instruments such as ICP-OES, HPLC, or IC tools.
• Relevant experience may come from academic research, coursework, internships, military training, or industry work.
• High precision, attention to detail, accurate laboratory documentation, strong safety focus, teamwork, organization, and adaptability.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related STEM discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or a high-tech industrial analytical laboratory.
• 2+ years of experience with advanced ion chromatography, liquid chromatography, or cyclic voltammetry stripping analysis.
• 1+ year of experience working under ISO 9001 or equivalent industrial quality-management standards.
