What you will do

• Perform analytical testing of laboratory samples supporting small-molecule and peptide development and characterization.
• Operate and maintain liquid chromatography and other analytical laboratory instruments.
• Prepare samples, reagents, solutions, buffers, and mobile phases.
• Collect, process, review, and document analytical results according to approved methods and procedures.
• Support analytical method screening, optimization, troubleshooting, and chromatography data management.
• Follow laboratory quality, safety, hygiene, documentation, and sample-management procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline with 3+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 1+ year of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with separation techniques for small molecules and/or peptides.
• Experience operating liquid chromatography instruments independently, preparing samples, and collecting and processing analytical data.
• Experience with HPLC/UPLC, SEC, IEX, reverse-phase or hydrophobic interaction chromatography, UV spectroscopy, or mass spectrometry.
• Understanding of chromatography principles and separation modes, with strong laboratory documentation and data-integrity practices.
• Onsite availability for a regulated, laboratory-based work environment in Rahway is required.

Nice to have

• Experience preparing dilutions, solutions, buffers, and mobile phases.
• Experience with electronic laboratory notebooks, chromatography data systems, or analytical laboratory software.
• Experience with chromatography modeling, method-development software, automation tools, or programming.
• Pharmaceutical industry experience and familiarity with GMP or GLP environments.
