TL;DR
Senior QA Engineer (Web3 Smart Wallet): Owning end-to-end quality for a consumer smart wallet on an Ethereum-compatible ZK rollup with an accent on account abstraction, transaction lifecycles, smart-contract integrations, and automated testing. Focus on validating signing, counterfactual deployment, token transfers, chain reorgs and finality, security scenarios, and AI-assisted QA tooling.

Location: Europe / Canada; hybrid workplace.

Company

hirify.global is a global commerce company providing tools and services that help video game developers fund, distribute, market, and monetize games.

What you will do

  • Own end-to-end testing for a consumer smart wallet on hirify.global ZK, covering sign-in, wallet creation, asset display, transfers, transaction confirmation, and release validation.
  • Test account-abstraction flows, signing, UserOperations, bundlers, EntryPoint execution, paymasters, session keys, signer behavior, and counterfactual wallet deployment.
  • Use forked and local chains to deploy, call, inspect, and trace smart contracts; investigate reverts, failed operations, reorgs, finality issues, and indexer divergence.
  • Validate ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155 transfers and approvals, wallet SDK and contract integrations, and security scenarios including replay, phishing, and approval abuse.
  • Build and maintain Playwright and TypeScript automation in CI, including AI tooling configured for test design, automation, review, and log analysis.
  • Collaborate with the wallet-infrastructure partner and security team, provide evidence for integration defects, and mentor QA engineers entering Web3.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or an international equivalent.
  • 6+ years of software testing or quality engineering experience, including 2+ years of hands-on testing on EVM-based products.
  • Hands-on experience with viem and wagmi; ethers.js is also accepted, including contract-state reading, transaction sending, event decoding, and revert-error decoding.
  • Experience deploying and interacting with smart contracts using Foundry or Hardhat, with enough Solidity knowledge to understand contract behavior.
  • Experience with chain forking and simulation using Anvil, Tenderly, or similar tools, and tracing failed transactions to their revert reason.
  • Working knowledge of Ethereum transactions, nonces, gas, receipts, events, logs, reverts, reorgs, rollup finality, and indexer divergence.
  • Knowledge of ERC-20, ERC-721, and ERC-1155 mechanics, wallet signers, EOAs, embedded wallets, smart accounts, EIP-191, EIP-712, EIP-1193, and ERC-1271.
  • Practical understanding of ERC-4337 account abstraction, including UserOperations, bundlers, EntryPoint, paymasters, counterfactual deployment, CREATE2, and session keys.
  • Understanding of wallet security risks including signature replay, cross-chain replay, typed-data phishing, and token approval abuse.
  • TypeScript or JavaScript test automation, Playwright or a similar UI automation framework, REST and JSON-RPC testing, bundler methods, and basic SQL.
  • Daily hands-on use of Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor for test design, automation, review, log analysis, transaction-trace analysis, and repository configuration.
  • Ability to conduct complex, high-impact testing independently and collaborate across time zones.
  • Excellent written and spoken English required.

Nice to have

  • Experience with wallets, decentralized exchanges, NFT marketplaces, consumer-scale products, or gaming products.
  • Experience with ZK Stack, zk-rollups, zkSync-family chains, embedded, MPC, or white-label wallet SDK integrations.
  • Knowledge of EIP-7702, ERC-6492, Foundry fuzz and invariant testing, OpenZeppelin contracts, and the ERC-4337 reference implementation.
  • Ability to read Go.
  • Experience with load and performance testing of high-volume transaction flows, such as k6.

Culture & Benefits

  • Hybrid work in Europe or Canada within a small senior engineering team.
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage, PTO, and support for employees and their families.
  • Personalized career roadmaps, training, and educational opportunities.
  • Inclusive workplace focused on collaboration, creativity, and employee well-being.
  • Background checks may include criminal history, employment, and education verification because the role accesses confidential company data and supports regulatory compliance.
