Associate Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

What you will do

• Contribute to reliable, secure, and scalable test automation frameworks.
• Perform automated and manual testing across the product lifecycle in an approximately 50/50 split.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA engineers to understand requirements and create test scenarios.
• Write and maintain functional, regression, performance, and reliability tests for frontend, backend, Android, and iOS applications.
• Investigate failures, document defects, support root-cause analysis, verify fixes, and improve test coverage and execution efficiency.
• Communicate quality risks and findings while maintaining test code, documentation, and delivery standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Software Development Engineer or Software Development Engineer in Test.
• Working knowledge of Java, .NET/C#, JavaScript, or another object-oriented programming language.
• Solid understanding of software testing fundamentals, test design techniques, defect management, and QA processes.
• Experience with at least one automation tool or framework, such as Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Appium, Cucumber, or TestNG.
• Experience automating Android and iOS applications.
• Experience testing frontend or backend applications.
• Experience with RESTful API testing and databases such as Microsoft SQL Server.
• Analytical, debugging, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, detail-oriented, curious, and eager-to-learn skills, with an interest in quality and test automation.
• Experience with Agile software development practices.

Nice to have

• Exposure to Angular and C#.
• Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with Git and development tools such as Visual Studio or IntelliJ IDEA.
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
• Experience creating, configuring, or testing with virtual machines.
