Director, IT Quality Assurance

Location: Toronto, ON; hybrid work arrangement with 1–3 days per week on-site and the remaining days remote. Legal eligibility to work at the specified location is required, with a valid work or study permit where applicable.

What you will do

• Lead quality enablement across complex technology initiatives, multiple PBB domains, squads, and delivery partners.
• Lead the adoption of automation frameworks, reusable assets, sustainable testing practices, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Champion AI-enabled testing capabilities and coach teams on practical, scalable adoption.
• Guide test strategies, test approaches, test plans, non-functional testing, quality reviews, and release readiness assessments.
• Oversee regression support, defect triage, root cause analysis, quality metrics, risk mitigation, and escalation of systemic quality concerns.
• Build relationships with technology and business stakeholders while leading, coaching, and developing team members.

Requirements

• Experience developing and implementing strategic team goals, coaching employees, and inspiring successful team performance.
• Experience in application development, quality assurance automation, test strategy, release readiness, quality governance, and enterprise testing practices.
• Ability to investigate complex problems, interpret data, communicate detailed information clearly, and influence outcomes through relationships and expertise.
• Degree or diploma in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field.
• Legal eligibility to work at the specified location; a valid work or study permit is required where applicable.
• Willingness to complete an attribute-based assessment and other skills tests, which may include simulation, coding, or French proficiency assessments.
