Software Engineering Enablement Manager (.NET/React)

Location: Chicago, United States; hybrid workstyle aligned to an hirify.global office. Other listed locations include Orlando, Raleigh, Dallas, Atlanta Metro Area, Denver Downtown, and Minneapolis. Limited travel, occasional meetings outside standard local business hours, and additional availability may be required during major releases or production issues.

Salary: $126,500–$223,900, plus eligibility for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.

What you will do

• Lead software and DevOps engineers through direction-setting, capacity allocation, coaching, career development, and performance guidance.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across software design, coding, reviews, testing, maintenance, and lifecycle management for reusable libraries and shared components.
• Define the strategy, roadmap, governance, quality expectations, release approach, documentation, and adoption plan for shared software libraries.
• Establish software engineering and DevOps standards, reusable patterns, automation, and delivery practices improving security, reliability, accessibility, testing, and maintainability.
• Lead responsible AI-assisted development standards with human oversight, measurable value, code quality, security, and cost discipline.
• Partner with architecture, security, product, platform, and delivery leaders to resolve technical issues, manage dependencies, drive adoption, and measure continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Strong experience with Agile and multiple frameworks, plus experience overseeing and delivering large-scale software platforms.
• Ability to supervise, direct, and review project or assignment results.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Ability to mentor, coach, provide career guidance, influence diverse populations, and lead geographically dispersed teams.
• Knowledge of object-oriented principles and modern software development practices.

Nice to have

• Eight or more years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership, and direct management of software engineers or other technical professionals.
• Experience designing and maintaining reusable libraries, frameworks, or shared components, including governance and lifecycle practices.
• Experience with .NET, React, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems.
• Experience defining engineering standards and enabling adoption across multiple teams or geographies.
• Experience with cloud platforms, modern application architecture, automated testing, continuous integration and delivery, and secure software development.
• Experience establishing governance, quality controls, measurement, and cost-awareness practices for AI-assisted software development.
• Professional certification in cloud architecture, software development, security, or a related discipline.
