Senior Manager - Accounting (Fintech)

Location: NYC Headquarters; hybrid, with US remote compensation tiers available

Compensation: New York City $158K–$209K; Remote, Standard $136K–$179K; Remote, Premium $143K–$189K. Equity offered.

What you will do

• Lead global month-end, quarterly, and year-end close processes and financial reporting under US GAAP.
• Set accounting department objectives to improve accuracy, shorten close cycles, and increase reporting transparency.
• Provide technical accounting leadership for revenue recognition, equity compensation, and capitalized software costs.
• Manage annual external audits and coordinate schedules and documentation with auditors.
• Optimize NetSuite and other fintech systems to automate workflows and support business scale.
• Strengthen SOX-readiness and internal controls, lead accounting professionals, and partner with Legal, Engineering, and Product on new products and complex transactions.

Requirements

• Active CPA license required.
• Advanced proficiency with NetSuite and reconciliation software such as BlackLine, including experience driving large-scale implementations or optimizations.
• Proven ability to solve complex financial challenges and create long-term work plans aligned with organizational goals.
• Exceptional communication skills for explaining financial results and technical accounting issues to executives and non-financial stakeholders.
• Strong data literacy and ability to manage complex datasets to identify trends, variances, and operational efficiencies.
