Senior Revenue Accountant (Fintech)

Location: Remote - United States. For candidates with fewer than 4 years of relevant work experience, the role is hybrid and requires attendance at the New York City Midtown office.

Annual salary: $113,000–$129,675, plus equity and potential bonuses.

What you will do

• Prepare and review monthly revenue accruals, journal entries, supporting schedules, and revenue flux analyses during month-end close.
• Reconcile billing, invoicing, and revenue data across systems and resolve variances.
• Review customer contracts and apply ASC 606 to determine revenue treatment, including variable consideration, minimums, and usage-based fees.
• Prepare revenue-related workpapers, support external audit requests, and maintain accounting policies, process documentation, and internal controls.
• Identify manual processes and redesign them for scale through automation and AI tools.
• Partner with Product, Sales, Treasury, Strategic Finance, and Operations to assess the accounting impact of new products, pricing, and customer arrangements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of combined experience in public accounting audit and/or in-house accounting, focused on revenue.
• Hands-on experience applying ASC 606.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Month-end close experience in NetSuite or another major ERP.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including building or maintaining reconciliation and accrual workbooks.
• Experience using AI tools to improve accuracy or efficiency in accounting work.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and cross-functional skills.

• CPA certification or progress toward a CPA.
