Mechanical Engineer (Robotics)

Location: Wilmington, MA, United States

Base salary: $95,000–$120,000 per year, plus annual bonus, long-term incentive compensation, and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop mechanical designs for new technologies and products from concept through production.
• Build and test breadboards, prototypes, and refined product designs.
• Use test results to refine and improve designs iteratively.
• Work hands-on with CNC machining and turning centers, 3D printers, laser cutters, and scientific and engineering equipment.
• Collaborate with scientists, electrical and optical engineers, manufacturing partners, industrial designers, clients, and other engineers.

Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of industry experience.
• Broad technical background and willingness to learn in unfamiliar fields.
• Experience with 3D CAD; SolidWorks is preferred.
• Ability to connect scientific theory with engineering design and communicate the value of solutions to clients.
• Hands-on approach to building prototypes and solving engineering problems.

Nice to have

• Experience with injection molding, machining, sheet metal, casting, or other manufacturing processes.
• Experience designing robotic systems or industrial automation.
